WOMEN ON MISSIONS
Our WMU & WOM groups encompass all ages. Our purpose is the same as when we began in 1888. The story that Jesus commanded his followers to embrace in Matthew 28:19 is still relevant today for the people of our communities. The WBC women work along with our Baptist Men. We sponsor the B.B. Roberts Annual Turkey Dinner giveaway, as well as, the Angel Tree project at Christmas. In addition, we work closely with local schools to meet any needs: shoes, food, clothing, etc. In recent years, we have had many of our members join with the Liberty Baptist Association mission team in going to the Christian Activity Center in one of the nation's most decimated and world's most dangerous cities, East St. Louis, Illinois. Prayer is a vital part of any group, and we pray for our missionaries, home and foreign. Our prayer is that we can be the hands and feet of Jesus right here in Wallburg.
Our mission... is to inform and inspire Christians to influence their world for Christ.
But we do not belong to those who shrink back and are destroyed, but to those who have faith and are saved. Hebrews 10:39
We meet on the last Sunday of each month at 2pm, check events for more activities and updates. Director - Carol Tilley

The Senior Citizens Friendly Club is a ministry at Wallburg Baptist Church for the senior adults in our church and community. We meet once a month for a fellowship or meal. We occasionally have guest speakers from organizations such as the North Carolina Baptist Aging Ministry or Hospice of Davidson County to share with us information about volunteer opportunities or other useful information that would be of interest to our group. We often have an afternoon movie fellowship in the fellowship hall and watch a movie, play bingo and have refreshments. Vacation Bible School for Senior Adults is held in August each year with guest speakers, a meal and we learn some church history. We prepare treat bags for the Hospice of Davidson County patients each Fall at our annual Hobo Luncheon and Thanksgiving Celebration. We have a Valentine party and luncheon in February and our annual Christmas party and fellowship in December. We invite anyone who would like to participate in our activities to come and join us.
