Wallburg Baptist Church was organized in 1890 in the small farming community of Wallburg, North Carolina. After a fire

essentially destroyed the building in 1937, it was rebuilt, and now stands at the intersection of Wallburg Road and North Carolina Highway 109. Currently we are in the infancy stages of constructing a new sanctuary to replace the existing building. We are blessed in that approximately 11 acres of property are totally paid for and partially cleared, graded and seeded.

We are looking into the future in our total planning process. The proposed building will include a sanctuary, Sunday School and meeting rooms, a modern nursery, and will be constructed under the appropriate building codes such that we can offer a large day care facility. Additionally, provisions are planned that will enable easy and logical expansion to the buildings should we grow even further. As a part of the building process, in early 2011 we added a large, modern child-approved playground. We are very excited about our building project and invite the community to join us in this undertaking.

We currently offer a variety of services and worship opportunities, including both youth and senior citizen groups, child care for all worship services, an active children's program, as well as strong emphasis on both men's and women's missionary projects. Wallburg Baptist Church is made up of friendly people who are enjoying being part of God's work. We would love for you to come and visit with us. No matter where you are or what season of life you are in, you will be most welcome to fellowship, learn, and worship with us!
